Depths of Love

Deep Ocean Wave

Tall majestic trees sway to and fro,
Green grass bends near cold river flow,

A wildflower, beautiful as birds in flight,
Changes hue on a cold fall night.
You’ll see these things change with time,
Our mother earth strong and sublime,

But time will never end their reign,
Over man who walks upright in vain.

And oceans move towards the shore,
Waves dance ‘til they are no more.

Then deep inside the ocean blue,
Another swell starts anew.

These things are like our love through time,
Life’s rhythmic flows perhaps divine.

But time won’t end our love I’m sure,
Even though cold fog can bring a blur.

I hope you’re happy forever more,
You stand before life’s open door.

Always remember please for me,
If you’re not feeling hopeful, loved, and free.

If your horizon ahead as far can see,
And your true blessings don’t make you happy.

Look through me once, in my eyes,
Judge for yourself, if you’re not surprised.

And if you see hope, and when we talk,
Feel love and comfort in our lock.

Others matter, yes I know,
But, don’t give up on this beau.

For if you’re mine again and again,
I’ll never let your heart feel pain.

Together we’ll watch the ocean crash,
We’ll listen after a lightning flash.

We will know through life’s many seasons,
Deep waves of love build without reason,

Each day they’ll launch from deep below,
To lap and caress our mortal soul.

Soothe our pain from life’s domains,
And leave us fresh like summer rain.
