What is ieterna foundation?

The ieterna Foundation was created in 2009 as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, exclusively for archiving member-submitted historical, genealogical, scientific and cultural materials online.

The purpose of the corporation is to:
• enable anyone to preserve their creative works, memories, experiences, history, thoughts or musical works for generations to come, indefinitely into the future
• provide free online access to all submitted materials
• support research into methods and tools that enable individuals to help preserve their memories, experiences, history, thoughts and creative works
• support research into archival information storage technology and processes

You provide the materials to be saved, and ieterna carefully transcribes your submissions into a digital format that is not only optimized for long term archiving, but also perfect for quick searching and instant availability from any device with internet access.

Your published files are duplicated, stored and accessible at any time in the ieterna Foundation Archive at https://iearchive.com . The entire archive is regularly backed up electronically on two independent servers at different physical locations across the U.S. In addition, archived files are also transferred to physical media and stored in a third independent location. This ensures that your files will be safeguarded from loss.
