You Chose Her

It was obvious, anyone can tell that I liked you.

They just got all so glad when you said you liked me too.

Lunch and dinners were not the same without you

and for so many days in a month,

It wasn’t the same without you.

You took me to places I’ve never been,

I might never see those places without you.

It pains me inside to look at our photos,

Knowing they will never get cherished

They will be burned and all they’ll be are ashes.

It’s such a shame that we should feel the same way about each other

It could’ve been just a simple crush,

Not involving even the slightest touch,

But when you’re near, I just blush

And I feel every bit of my vein goes up in a rush.

No man has ever made me feel this way before,

Or I just never allowed them? For sure.

If only time was like an alarm clock,

I have to set the limit on how intense i should just feel

And control how slow it goes

Or how fast it should move.

No one has the guideline for being romantics,

You can only be a love song fanatic.

Because at the end of that love-locomotive,

A drastic event will get you so traumatic.

One day he’s gonna say that there’s two,

There’s a lot of room in his heart too.

Only this time, you didn’t knew.

All was too late to bag it all up.

It was the time to pack up or pack him up.

And the most stupid thing I could just possibly do,

Is maybe choose you,

But….
