To accept what is
Is not to condone.
To accept what is
Doesn’t make it necessarily right.
To accept what is in this moment
Does not mean that it should never change.
To accept what is for what it is
Does not mean I approve.
My acceptance is an act of resignation to the facts of the matter,
A way to deal with a situation that is at once
Wonderful and not.
It is a situation that does not fit
With my current life values.
It is in violation of the 5 Buddhist Precepts,
Out of touch with the 8 fold path,
But it is a situation that if I do not accept it as it is,
It will cease to exist in my world and
That is a consequence I cannot and will not accept.
