Beaten, neglected, and left all alone.
Still I have the courage to stand up firm and strong
Spit in the eye of those who have done me wrong.
My bringing up is to blame,
Be there for my neighbor
Forgive and forget
That is my motto after all.
I’ve lived the life, been on the streets
homeless and alone
too proud to beg
or even come home,
yet still I will never forget.
you think you have won
yet your all so wrong
I’ll show you all I can over come
