That morning you suddenly wake up next to a person
You don’t know if you’re in love with,
You’re not sure if you’re going to spend your life with,
Or you’ll just leave the next morning you do.
People say crazy things and someone would believe in ‘em,
Making them feel rapidly steady and safe,
Calm yet overly joyed inside
Hovering over something they didn’t clearly hear.
What does it take to fall in love really?
You invest your own time, your emotions and your privacy,
What else is left of you to invest if that person leaves you?
A partial heart? A partial love? A partial you?
Scary. So damn petrifying thing to ever do when you’re young and stupid.
No one can ever predict what’s next to happen after you get the feeling,
No one will ever protect you from the incoming agony,
No one can take that happiness maybe,
No one might understand what it feels really
But can your heart be truly ready?
It’s almost terrifying to understand and appreciate a person at a time,
It’s even difficult to juggle time, effort and affection,
There has got to be another way to love someone
Because no one can ever retain himself when he’s already gone.
You die every time you love,
That is why love is a battlefield
Full of people willing to die over something imprudent that they love,
And truth is,
Loving someone is pretty cool and sweet
Especially when he’s going to reciprocate it.
I just wish he ever did.
