When you pull me close, tingles surge through my body.
Smiling and blushing is all I can seem to do.
Sometimes I don’t want you to let go.
I am so eager to see you,
And this time I know my feelings are real.
They won’t go away,
And I don’t want them to.
I know this is a start of a new beginning,
My butterflies are telling me so many things.
I can’t eat; I feel sick to my stomach,
And a permanent smile is spread across my face.
Butterflies have begun to live inside me,
And when you’re around, they fly up to my heart.
My heart races,
And I turn pink.
My butterflies are telling me that this is the real thing.
