Beaching

You know how the water just splashes thru the shore?

Not holding and withdrawing back just so sure?

I guess it’s really in the nature,

What’s meant to happen is going to happen,

Like how we end up in this playpen.

The night before you rest your eyes on me,

I was so damn sure of what I wanna see.

Something inside you reminds me,

About how I badly want the world to see,

My desperation of love mistaken in an anxiety.

When we first dipped into the water,

I saw you shiver,

Like what you do when you feel something stranger

Than the usual that you were used to have longer.

It was like a magic to discover.

But I felt more of it like an adventure.

We came here with the intention to forget for a moment,

The night was young and I really wish to remember,

Everything you said last night and this morning about November.

No one clouded me up like this,

Maybe because I’m afraid to be kissed.

Because I’m just gonna end up on wish.

You know that thing you do before you kiss me,

The way you look seems like you’re not gonna leave me.

And that I allow you to take me,

Wherever that hand and head of yours will lead me,

And maybe get back before sunrise

Just in time to wake up from that wonderful desire.

That at one exact time, love was the perfect word for

the first time.
