A Single Circular Possession

Have you ever seen the look in the eyes of the lusty soul?

The one that cries alone in the dark waiting for one moment

to express one thought, one sentiment, to another human being?

Have you ever tasted just one kiss, one caress of the type of love, of need,

that sets you alight and on fire? One that sends your heart to the stars and your stomach

to hell?

And when removed, steals the desire to go on to look for someone else to maybe…start…again…when…

Surgically stolen; a part of you that

cannot be replaced no matter the odds and ends you try and

try to repair yourself with,

damaging all receptors, destroying all transmissions, rendering every conversation into useless fuzz as you try to readjust, only learning how to function as a barely concious emotional robot? As nothing but questions assault your circuits, overloading their capacitors, while emptily scanning for a deleted file?

As all meaning is stripped and lost, and

you plant ivy, oak, and sumac in your forest to ward away any who would come

to attempt to pull you out of your fallen tower?
